about Whitepath Consulting
Since its inception in 2002,
Whitepath Consulting has played a valuable role in reintegrating Aboriginal people being released from correctional facilities into society by providing a continuum of care aimed at connecting the disconnected. At the core of our success in counselling, employment support and educational upgrading is the conscientious manner in which Aboriginal teachings, traditions and culture are used to heal the loss of Aboriginal spirituality, self-identity and self-esteem.
Whitepath’s mission is to develop and share unique and innovative approaches that enhance an individual’s abilities to heal, create, maintain and function within healthy relationships and communities. We are committed to offering personal development programs based on holistic Aboriginal teachings that promote healing and self-wellness by addressing the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual lives of participants.
Whitepath develops and implements Aboriginal-specific intervention models and programs within both the corrections
and community sectors. In addition to offering our personal development intervention, we have the capacity to assess existing interventions, provide evaluative feedback and engage agencies and facilities in the implementation of change.
In association with Trent University’s Emotion and Health Laboratory,
Whitepath conducts extensive qualitative and quantitative research that includes facilitating focus groups, developing culturally-appropriate data collection instruments, analyzing data, conducting feasibility studies, creating and delivering needs assessments as well as formulating and supporting the implementation of research recommendations.
Whitepath’s success in connecting the disconnected to the community at large is the result of its programs of prevention, intervention and reintegration.
Whitepath’s goal is to integrate its unique personal training approach,
theRedPath
model, in every Aboriginal community, in both urban and rural settings. |
